Privacy Policy

This privacy policy covers the Bloom app for Mac (“the App”) and the Bloom website (“the Website”). Bloom is only available for macOS.

The App

Bloom is designed to be fully offline and private. Your recordings, exports and settings are stored locally on your Mac. The App has no network access: we do not collect, transmit, or have access to any of your data, and your recordings never leave your Mac unless you share them yourself.

Bloom only records your screen, microphone and camera after you allow it in macOS, and only while you record or open a preview. Exported videos are saved to the folder you choose and copied to your clipboard.

The App does not use analytics, tracking, advertising, or any third-party services. No account or sign-up is required.

The Website

The Website is a static site hosted on GitHub Pages. It does not use cookies or local storage.

We use Plausible Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (e.g. page views, referrer, country). Plausible is a privacy-focused analytics tool that does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and is fully compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and PECR without requiring a cookie consent banner. No personal information is collected or stored through the Website.

GitHub Pages may collect technical information such as IP addresses in server logs as part of their hosting service. See GitHub’s Privacy Statement for details.
